As the Head of Total Rewards & Operations, you will lead and optimize Gong's global compensation, benefits, and People Operations strategies and oversee the systems, technologies & data analytics. You’ll work closely with the executive team to create scalable, data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes and deliver exceptional value to our employees. This role demands a leader with a strong data mindset, a passion for data integrity, and a deep understanding of private and public company environments, ideally in the tech industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Total Rewards Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and lead the global Total Rewards strategy, ensuring it aligns with Gong’s long-term growth objectives, organizational culture, and employee value proposition.
    • Design and implement competitive, equitable, and scalable compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent globally.
    • Collaborate with senior leaders across the company to align Total Rewards strategies with business goals and optimize the employee experience.
    • Manage the design and delivery of benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and employee perks, ensuring they reflect Gong’s commitment to supporting employee well-being.
    • Provide executive compensation oversight, managing both short-term and long-term incentive programs.
  • Data-Driven Operations & Systems Management
    • Lead and drive efficiencies and practices on a global scale for an international organization ensuring a balance of visionary forward-thinking practices with practical, day-to-day efficient operations within the HR organization
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive people technology strategy that aligns with the organization's Talent and business goals
  • Data Integrity & Analytics
    • Develop and implement a well-rounded people analytics strategy that aligns with Gong’s business goals and HR objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Total Rewards & People Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Operations, and Systems, with a track record of leadership in both private and public companies, ideally in the tech industry.
    • Proven success at the senior executive level, with experience designing and scaling Total Rewards programs for a global workforce.
    • Extensive experience working with Workday, with the ability to leverage technology to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Strong data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze large datasets and make strategic decisions based on real-time insights.
    • A focus on data integrity, ensuring that all compensation, benefits, and operational data is accurate and actionable.
    • Expertise in global compensation, benefits, and rewards strategies, with a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
    • Strong knowledge of Workday or similar HRIS tools, and the ability to optimize systems to support Total Rewards functions effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including with executive leadership.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $315,000-325,000 USD. 

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
