About Persona

Persona is the configurable identity platform built for businesses in a digital-first world. Verifying individuals and organizations is harder — but more important — than ever, with AI enabling fraudsters to launch sophisticated accounts at scale and regulations evolving rapidly.

We’ve built Persona to support practically every use case and industry — that’s why we’re able to serve a wide range of leading companies. For example, Instacart relies on Persona to verify shoppers who onboard onto their platform before delivering groceries to your doorstep. Meanwhile, OpenAI relies on Persona to keep bad actors out, protecting one of the world’s most powerful AI platforms from large-scale abuse in a time when AI is reshaping the way we work and live.

We’re growing rapidly and looking for exceptional people to join us!

About the role

We’re looking for a talent associate who can help lead and grow our campus recruiting programs while also supporting broader recruiting efforts throughout the year. You’ll play a key role in building relationships with students, career centers, and university partners, while also jumping in to schedule interviews, source candidates, and improve our recruiting operations when it’s not campus season.

You should be passionate about connecting early-career talent with meaningful opportunities and curious about how companies scale their high performing teams. As part of a fast-growing startup, you’ll make an immediate impact on our hiring strategy, candidate experience, and long-term talent pipeline.

This is a full-time position based in our HQ in downtown San Francisco — currently in the office Tuesday–Thursday, with Monday and Friday as office optional. Our business is growing rapidly, and we believe our people are our greatest asset. Our team is highly collaborative and genuinely cares about each other. If any of this excites you, we’d love to meet you!

What you'll do at Persona

  • Lead University Programs - Plan, coordinate, and execute our university recruiting strategy, including career fairs, info sessions, and internship programs. Build and maintain strong relationships with university partners and student organizations.

  • Champion Early-Career Talent - Develop creative ways to attract, engage, and hire top university and early-career candidates across technical and non-technical roles.

  • Recruiting Operations Support - During non-university recruiting seasons, assist with scheduling, sourcing, and candidate management to help keep our hiring engine running smoothly.

  • Source Great Talent - Research and engage potential candidates through multiple channels to build diverse, high-quality pipelines for both early-career and experienced roles.

  • Build Scalable Systems - Partner with the recruiting team to streamline processes, improve documentation, and implement tools and automations that make our recruiting more efficient.

  • Enhance Our Employer Brand - Contribute to brand-building efforts to make Persona an employer of choice through events and content marketing support.

What you'll bring to Persona

  • 1+ years of recruiting experience - You’re familiar with recruiting tools and strategies, and can quickly ramp up sourcing for hard-to-fill positions.

  • You build for scale - You enjoy learning the ins-and-outs of tools and improving systems to make things run smoothly and efficiently.

  • You’re a person of your word - You take pride in your work and know how to see something through to completion.

  • You love people - You’re naturally engaging, approachable, and enjoy helping people. You know how to build strong connections.

  • Collaboration is second nature - You thrive in a team environment; people often tell you they love working with you.

  • You’re adaptable - You can juggle many things at once, and easily adjust to new challenges and environments.

Full-time Employee Benefits and Perks

For full-time employees (excluding internship and contractor opportunities), Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, 3% 401(k) contribution, unlimited PTO, quarterly mental health days, family planning benefits, professional development stipend, wellness benefits, among others. While we believe competitive compensation and benefits are a critical aspect of you deciding to join us, we do hope you consider why our core values and culture are right for you.
