Test Engineer, Controls

Job Description:
Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. 

We are looking for a Test Engineer on the Controls team to author, execute, and analyze tests for assessing the performance and robustness of controls features.

Responsibilities: 

• Author behaviors and test strategies for validating latest controls features
• Work directly with Controls team members to understand testing needs
• Perform first line analysis on testing results, including issue triage
• Push the boundaries of performance to help understand control system limitations

Requirements: 

• Expertise in C++ and python
• Experience running control systems on real hardware
• Familiar with git workflows and bazel build systems
• Excellent triage and failure analysis skills
• Bachelor’s in engineering or computer science
  

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 - $210,000 annually.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
