Description
This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI , you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

As the US Media Strategy Lead , you will direct a team that will provide innovative media support by developing and maintaining the overall media planning approach. You will lead and become an integral member of a passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic and highly engaged team. As the US Media Strategy lead, you will form the strategic planning process and ensure our division media leads continue to develop their expertise and deliver future forward media strategies. You will be charged with driving innovation and pushing boundaries of emerging media to engage new and loyal GM customers through our disruptive marketing spirit with innovative and groundbreaking approaches to the media strategy approach. You will bring new ideas and strategies that will elevate the media practice.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the brand media strategy team providing guidance in the development of coordinated tiered national, DMA and dealer approach to media
  • Orchestrates cross-tier coordination and training
  • Set innovation budgets
  • Drive learning agenda and media insights
  • Accountable for management of the total U.S. media budget, transfers and drive appropriate investments & mix across all divisions
  • Manage media agency team relationship and direct media strategy/operations process within the brands
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with other agency teams in order to effectively align media across tiers
  • Foster key media partner relationships and planning meeting process to drive effectiveness and efficiencies, first to market innovation
  • Run Weekly Media Touchpoint meeting to review media plans with senior leadership for approval
  • Work with retail team and agency to create monthly go-to-market media plans and secure senior leadership approval
  • Work with Agency partners to traffic advertising across various media types
  • Collaborate with Integrated Analytics team and GM Research to identify and drive Global Media KPIs across all channels
  • In collaboration with the Global Media Services team, develop fresh insights to drive media innovation, enable smarter and more effective media strategy and buying decisions
  • Establish best practices by staying current on media trends and the shifting media landscape to enable smarter and more effective media planning


Additional Description

  • 10+ years' experience in Media Operations, Planning, or Strategy
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing
  • Solid understanding of all areas of media with particular familiarity with the various media platforms, technology and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to own and effectively manage a large budget
  • Ability to offer a clear POV and a strong rationale to defend position as the media center of expertise
  • Ability to prioritize and tie all media plans to support the business plan & core priorities
  • Ability to communicate strategy and plans effectively
  • Ability to form strong relationships with key media partners to ensure strong plan development and best pricing
  • Ability to effectively brief and drive clear direction to media agency and collaborative approach to creative development to ensure effectiveness
  • A self-starter with the ability to think strategically
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience working with or for media agencies
  • Strong off line and digital media experience
  • Excellence in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent communication, presentation, co-ordination and project management skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task across a number of diverse projects
  • Ability to occasionally work irregular hours


Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: ($165,100 - $252,900). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
