Model N is hiring a Vice President of Enterprise Data and Applications. In this role you will oversee the strategic direction of our corporate business systems including implementation, optimization, and consolidation. You will also lead Data teams focused on Business Intelligence platforms and Data Platform teams that power the Model N Cloud.
This role is critical to accomplishing our mission, working with Model N’s SVP of Global Cloud & Technology Services, and product area leaders' key stakeholders across the business functions to ensure coordination in the effort to execute on our strategy. The successful candidate will be very clear-minded, collaborative, consultative, data driven, and outcome focused. Successful candidates will possess experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and leading large-scale consolidation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the global technology teams providing all business systems support, business intelligence, and cloud data platform teams
- Developing and executing an Enterprise AI strategy to improve the productivity and efficiency of Model N employees by embedding AI and automation into business systems across the organization.
- Align with stakeholders across our People team, Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, Development, Cloud and IT, to ensure that business systems effectively support their requirements.
- Set the strategic direction, aligning resources, solving complex issues, and working in a fast-paced work environment.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and workflows through the effective use of technology, automation, and best practices.
- Establish and enforce data management policies, ensure data integrity, security, and compliance, and accurate reporting
- Oversee the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of IT services across the organization
- Leverage clarity in thought to effectively structure and communicate our plans to get approval from exec-staff on a path forward.
- Track progress, elevate issues, drive accountability and act as a member of our Senior Leadership Team across Model N and within the Global Cloud & Technology Services organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, MS degree or MBA preferred
- 15+ years of experience in senior leadership role overseeing business systems, enterprise applications, or IT operations
- Extensive experience with Salesforce (CRM), Atlassian, financial platforms such as Oracle NetSuite (ERP), WorkDay (HRIS), and Office 365
- Expertise in Business Intelligence, with advanced Power BI and Workato skills to deliver strategic insights, automate workflows, and enable data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
- Proven expertise in developing strategic plans, driving change, and delivering measurable results.
- Experience at SaaS companies with data architectures built on top of cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Preferable to have experience with platforms such as Oracle Databases, Dreamio, Snowflake, Looker, Informatica, Cognos, PowerBI, or similar tools.
- Strong exposure to IT Service Management frameworks including ITIL. Experience managing incidents, problems, and changes to ensure stable and efficient IT operations.
- Drive the strategy, planning and implementation of business intelligence and data analytics within the organization
- Experience with SOX required, experience with different flavors of SOC 1/2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS and other frameworks strongly preferred.
- Experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and leaders up to the C-level
- Must be an expert in creation of presentations for the most senior audiences, including C-suite and key customers
- Demonstrate strength in critical thinking and deeply analytical to identify root causes and solutions to problems
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding Project and Program Management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic initiatives
- Excellent clarity and critical thinking skills, and drive for results.
- Highly professional, ability to handle confidential information with diplomacy and tact

At Model N we offer fair, equitable and competitive salary ranges for all positions. Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills.
The base salary for this position will be $178,000 - $270,000. If your salary expectations are outside of this range, feel free to apply and discuss your expectations with our recruiters. We are constantly opening up new positions and you might match another opening at a different level.
