**Travel to Office expectations**
For Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in-office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings.

For Hybrid Roles: If this role is Hybrid, there will be an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the office/location specified in the job listing. This will include, but not limited to, weekly/bi-weekly/monthly events in the office with your specific team. This is a requirement for this role.

The Vice President, Solution Design & Strategy is a senior executive leader responsible for driving strategic vision, operational excellence, and revenue acceleration across PointClickCare’s Acute & Payer and Senior Care business lines. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role serves as a critical bridge between Sales, Product, State Directors, Professional Services, Customer Success, and other key stakeholders to ensure our Clinical and Technical Solutions teams delivers high-impact, scalable strategies that align with customer needs and market dynamics. 
This leader will oversee a team of highly skilled clinical and technical professionals, guiding them in designing and delivering solutions that enhance customer experience, accelerate sales cycles, and drive adoption across Government, Health Systems, ACOs, Health Plans, and Senior Care providers. The VP will be accountable for strategic planning, P&L performance, talent development, and cross-functional innovation to support PointClickCare’s continued growth and leadership in the healthcare technology space. 

Key Responsibility:

  • Strategic Leadership & Delivery Excellence 
  • Define and execute a compelling short- and long-term strategy for the Clinical and Technical Solutions teams across Acute & Payer and Senior Care markets 
  • Serve as the strategic face of the organization to the market, shaping external engagement strategies which include conferences, product planning, and customer roadmaps. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, translating customer needs into actionable solution design strategies. 
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to provide solutions expertise throughout the sales life cycle for all solutions and all markets.
  • Drive solution innovation by aligning industry trends, customer feedback, and product capabilities to deliver differentiated value. 
  • Lead strategic initiatives that improve customer journey mapping, handoffs, and lifecycle engagement across business lines. 
  • P&L Management & Financial Accountability 
  • Own and manage departmental OKRs and KPIs tied to revenue growth, pipeline acceleration, win rates, and solution adoption. 
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify new market opportunities and support expansion into emerging populations and geographies. 
  • Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and financial performance of the Clinical and Technical Solutions team (40+ leaders & employees) 
  • Ensure solution design efforts are aligned with broader business objectives and contribute meaningfully to top-line growth. 
  • Talent Strategy & Organizational Leadership 
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of clinical and technical experts, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. 
  • Develop talent strategies that support future capability needs, succession planning, and professional development. 
  • Promote diversity of thought and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams. 
  • Champion a high-engagement culture that aligns with PointClickCare’s values and mission.
  • Operational Excellence & Performance Optimization 
  • Establish and evolve best practices, standards, and processes that maximize solution impact and team efficiency to scale across all solutions and markets. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance sales cycle velocity, customer satisfaction, and solution delivery quality. 
  • Implement scalable frameworks for solution design, demo execution, RFP responses, and customer scoping/onboarding. 
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize team performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation 
  • Serve as the key conduit within Solution Design between Sales, Product, State Directors, Customer Success, and Professional Services to ensure alignment and strategic execution. 
  • Collaborate with Product Leadership to influence roadmap decisions based on clinical impact and customer feedback. 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve complex customer challenges and deliver integrated, high-value solutions. 
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives for Solutions Design that drive innovation, improve customer experience, and support strategic growth across Acute & Payer and Senior Care.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong business acumen that is used across multiple teams from Security, Sales, Delivery, to Customer Success supporting revenue and customer satisfaction goals 
  • Experience leading teams of highly matrixed and geographically dispersed clinical and technical experts who support and service customers leveraging industry best practices and clinical software application 
  • Solid understanding of SAAS customer lifecycle 
  • Ability to quickly develop partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders 
  • Develop strategies/solutions that quickly address client or team challenges 
  • Previous experience communicating with the C-Suite 
  • Strong customer orientation focused on delivering customer needs 
  • Exceptional relationship builder that leads with integrity 
  • Outstanding track record of delivering results  
  • Prior experience in healthcare technology working for a SAAS organization 
  • Domain knowledge of acute, post-acute, and health plan markets
