Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform market landscape analyses and reviews of companies of potential interest
- Assist with development and maintenance of the pipeline of potential strategic targets and investment opportunities
- Work with Senior Director of Corporate Development during deal execution (valuation, due diligence, negotiations, etc.)
- Develop an understanding of SentinelOne’s product portfolio, strategic priorities, competitive position, gaps and potential opportunities
- Work cross-functionally with Business and Corporate Development, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales Engineering, HR, Finance and Legal on a regular basis
- Partner with business leaders on strategy development, including identifying product gaps, evaluating build/buy/partner options, and collaborating on target selection criteria
- Develop network of industry contacts, venture capital firms, and investment banking/advisory executives to bring knowledge of market trends and opportunities to bear on strategic discussions
- Monitor and assess market participants and trends in the cybersecurity and data analytics markets
Ideal Candidate
- Positive attitude, good instincts and self-motivation
- 2+ years of experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, investment bank, corporate development, or corporate finance functions
- Technology industry experience / exposure
- Enterprise b2b Saas experience is preferable
- Comfort with spreadsheets and data analysis
- Solid understanding of corporate finance, GAAP accounting, and valuations
- Capable of effectively tracking and reporting on deal pipeline
- Self-motivated and well organized
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to provide business guidance to audiences of varying technical abilities
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and share your knowledge with the community around you
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a technical field.
