As a Scout Customer Data Architect, you will work with our customers and prospects to discover, quantify, and realize the value of Scout solutions. You will act as a liaison between customers and our product teams to tailor and fine-tune our product roadmap & customer deliverables as it relates to our API connections and integrations. Together with Scout Product and Customer Success teams, you will support and help develop the Scout product that best suits our customers. Together with our Customer Success team, you will build relationships with our customers, understand their businesses, discover potential Scout impact, as well as understand and troubleshoot their product concerns. We are a very focused and driven team that views itself as critical to growing Scout’s customer base and maintaining Scout’s customer-first values system.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our sales teams, product stakeholders and customer success team to assess, develop, and accelerate post sales technical implementation planning & execution
  • Create and provide detailed functional specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved, as it relates to product integrations, API’s, connectors, and data migration 
  • Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
  • Work with customer technical, functional, and project management resources to successfully ensure project go live and set customer team up for success
  • Analyze current technologies used within customers establish technical solutions and or process improvements
  • Manage implementation projects with customers as well as manage the internal transition of knowledge from pre-sales to post-sales following successful testing & implementation
  • Consult with customers to customize, test and deliver our solution packages to best fit customer workflows, needs and goals
  • Act as the liaison between customers and our product teams to tailor and fine-tune our product roadmap & customer deliverables as it relates to our API connections and integrations
  • Will require 50% travel to engage with customers directly

Must Have:

  • Four year degree from a reputable institution
  • 2-3 years of implementation management, customer success management, solution architecture or consulting experience (3-5 years of post sales experience if no advanced degree)
  • Proven experience of implementing custom SaaS solutions and/or technical project management or customer support
  • Track record of leading workshops and/or facilitating meetings with multilevel internal and customer audiences
  • Excellent consulting skillset, including discovery, analysis and project leadership
  • Good sense of humor coupled with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Drive and motivation to take on additional responsibilities over time
  • Willingness to travel up to 33%
  • LOCATION: Remote (near major airport) / San Francisco / Chicago /

Nice to have:

  • Experience running Procurement and Sourcing teams or projects
  • Familiarity with implementing Procurement and Sourcing Solutions or workflow-based applications
  • Advanced degree (M.A., M.S., MBA etc.)
