Social Finance, Inc. seeks Data Scientist in San Francisco, CA:
Job Duties: Apply advanced statistical methods to complex data sets to understand SoFi user and
product trends. Identify product improvement potentials and customer interaction behaviors by using
various data sources at different stages of the product, and recommend partner teams with proper
strategies to ensure a smooth user experience. Work with other data scientist and engineers to leverage
machine learning to power personalized experiences across SoFi. Contribute to the developments of
new products or features by exploring solutions to display intelligence product rankings in the website
and mobile application designs. Implement all the above duties with modern technologies, including but
not limited to Python, SQL and AWS. Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information
Systems Management, Business Intelligence and Data Analysis , or closely related quantitative discipline,
and one (1) year of experience in job offered or related field, OR Bachelor's degree, or foreign
equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business Intelligence and Data
Analysis or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible
experience in job offered or related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python; (2) SQL; (3) Business Analysis; (4) Financial Analysis; (5) Risk
Management; (6) Scikit; (7) Matplotlib; (8) Swift Programming Language; (9) Apache Spark; and (10) Git.
Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an
option.
Salary: $140,000.00 - $161,000.00 per annum.
