As our Director of Consumer Strategy, you will lead the delivery of a seamless customer experience across all stages and touchpoints in the customer journey with passion, collaboration and data. 


You will be responsible for leading and scaling growth and retention strategies, managing and executing against growth plans, and optimizing programs to meet lifetime value and revenue goals. You will develop a deeper understanding of our customers and partner with Marketing, Analytics, Brand, Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities within our product ecosystem to build experiences that drive higher customer satisfaction, customer retention, new business growth and expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, champion and execute a product vision for our consumer business consistent with Molekule’s overarching vision and mission.
  • Drive filter subscription and a la carte business and deliver on ambitious growth and revenue goals
  • Lead product strategy and manage product lifecycle of ecommerce platform to optimize for conversion and customer lifetime value
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Operations, CS, and Brand/Comms to understand business and customer segment needs and requirements
  • Own impact sizing and prioritization, requirements definition, working with UX and Engineering, testing and release, and ongoing optimizations
  • Serve as a CX thought partner for individuals across Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap
  • Drive strategy, development, and execution of cross-channel customer campaigns to drive lead conversion, subscription goals, repeat purchase, engagement and overall LTV Partner with Brand and Comms teams to develop promotional, engagement and lifecycle campaigns supporting key engagement metrics
  • Support acquisition goals with lead generation, capture and nurture email programs
  • Conduct multivariate tests across product and marketing programs to optimize performance related to conversion, activation, engagement, retention and churn 
  • Work with Analytics to define data needs and establish performance monitoring, as well as analyze data to understand user behavior to inform product and marketing strategy and roadmap
  • Build and optimize engagement loops, owning both referrals and reviews programs
  • Lead, motivate, and develop team of growth marketers and product owners
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience driving growth and retention through both product management and marketing initiatives, preferably within the consumer subscription space
  • Master of cross-functional collaboration, working closely with UX, Engineering, Acquisition, Operations, Analytics, Brand and CS, as well as experience leading with influence
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills; have experience overseeing and managing complex roadmaps
  • Experience building and scaling customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies, with a proven track-record of delivering on performance targets and staying in line with budget
  • Experience working closely with UX, Engineering, Analytics and Creative teams
  • Deep understanding of key elements of retention strategies, including lifecycle marketing, A/B testing, churn risk and prevention, predictive behavioral analytics, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven, leveraging data and insights to track performance, inform recommendations, and develop new strategies 
  • Strong project management skills, including driving alignment and prioritization, planning resources, attention to detail, managing deadlines, and communicating expectations with stakeholders
  • Passionate about the customer experience and ability to empathize and think like the consumer as you build upon the customer journey
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, cross-functional, dynamic and ambiguous startup environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously 
  • Experience building, leading, and managing cross-functional teams
