About the Master Data Management Leader

We’re looking for an innovative, business Data Management leader to initiate the strategy and implementation of agile Master Data Management (MDM) at Varo, enabling the business-focused customer 360, with a data environment based on the latest technology. This is a unique opportunity to build a strong foundation for the organization to enable Varo to become a truly data-driven company, without the constraints of legacy infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

• Lead Varo’s foundational MDM practice across a new and evolving ecosystem
• Lead MDM business strategy, data foundation, and capability implementation, aligning with Data Quality and glossary capabilities within the same industry-leading tool. 
• Partner with business groups to define the holistic view of customer 360 foundation and enable business consumption of trusted master data in key operational processes.
• Advocate, communicate, and partner with business areas on data management/governance processes and assist them to define their data-driven vision.
• Implement MDM standards, guidelines & training materials
• Define and monitor metrics and key performance indicators (KPI) to measure Master and Reference Data.
• Lead other key cross-functional data initiatives over time, such as reference data management, data consumption and sharing, or consent management.

Required skills, experiences, and traits

• 7+ years of varied Data Management/Governance experience
• A sound Financial Services business understanding
• Deep understanding of Master Data Management processes and their practical application to business products and processes. 
• Leadership and ability to partner with key business stakeholders
• Ability to communicate and work with cross-functional teams across the organization
