Senior Business Intelligence Data Engineer

The Business Intelligence team is building a modern data stack to drive data-driven decision-making across the company as we grow. We are looking for a Senior BI Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence Team who is excited to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, is proactive, and is passionate about the ever-evolving data space. This role will provide the opportunity to work closely with business partners and to implement data solutions that empower data-driven culture across the company. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Business Intelligence, and will be based in San Francisco, CA.

• You’ll be a part of building a modern data stack
• You’ll collaborate with business partners to understand and support their data needs
• You’ll design, build, document and manage reliable and scalable datamarts that business relies on for making critical decisions
• You’ll build complex and accurate data transformation to meet business needs
• You’ll drive innovation on the team and mentor peers to improve skill sets
• You’ll learn and share new tools and techniques to get a job done with maximum efficiency

What We're Looking For

• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience building a data warehouse and business intelligence system, even better if you have built one from the ground-up.
• You have experience with cloud data warehouse technologies (such as BigQuery or Snowflake).
• You are an expert with crafting and building data models and data transformation (experience with dbt is plus).
• You have a solid grasp of Kimball’s data warehouse methodologies.
• You are a SQL expert and can write complex and efficient SQL to accomplish data analysis goals.
• You have experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk and other SaaS applications as a data source.
• You have a solid grasp of data extraction (ELT) methodologies and tools (such as Fivetran).
• You have hands-on experience with visualization and reporting technologies (such as DOMO, Looker or Tableau).
• You are hands-on with Python to do advanced data manipulation and mathematical computations.
• You have experience with using git for version control.
