The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Art Director, CRM to join a newly created Brand Studio team. Customer Relationship Management is central to Afterpay’s global growth plan. By understanding and engaging with Afterpay’s millions of active users, the CRM team will drive activation, engagement and conversion. The Art Director (CRM) will contribute to the conception, design and execution of digital communications for current users. You will marry a passion for design craft with a zeal for communications that make consumers take action. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences paying.

Work independently and as part of a team with a talented ACD Writer (CRM)
Design strategies to track and improve the performance of our emails and work closely with the growth and business teams to improve open rates and click through
Work with other internal teams to develop new CRM programs around existing initiatives, product and brand campaigns.
Present and sell work – you are a strong advocate for work that marries best practices while still expressing the Afterpay brand. You can provide a point of view and express it well.
Turn-around designs quickly, revise, and visually articulate the message of stakeholders
Participate in all necessary internal and external meetings — briefings, status, brainstorming sessions, and presentations — with various stakeholders and leaders
Quickly gain an understand of the Afterpay platform, audience segments and organization
Maintain strong, proactive relationships with members of various teams across the organization

Who are you? (Qualifications)
Like us, you’ll be deeply committed to delivering positive outcomes for customers and passionate about shaping the future of Afterpay.
You have a minimum of 10 years experience in design, with a primary focus on work that elicits a direct response
You are seasoned at designing for digital channels including email, push notifications, and other notifications.
You have the ability to target different audiences and mindsets
You have a performance mindset in which you keep digging into what people open and click on and design the next iterations accordingly
You know how to work within guidelines and a flexible design system to craft work that is always on-brand
You have strong conceptual skills and meticulous attention to detail
You are passionate about Afterpay and want to help continuously improve the way the world experiences paying and financial wellness.
You are required to have a portfolio for consideration.
