Why Divvy?

At Divvy Homes, we're building an on-ramp to homeownership – one that's more flexible, more affordable, and an all-around better fit for today’s American family – and it’s working.

We are seeking a product designer to lead design initiatives on the Channels team with the vision of scaling distribution of Divvy Homes’ rent-to-own product by empowering channel partners.

In addition to solid interaction and UI skills, candidates should have experience thinking in terms of end-to-end user journey, applying strategic thinking and business goals to designs, and focusing on user feedback.

About the Channels team

Channels spans two pillars:

(1) building products that support our agent partners - helping them acquire customers, match customers with homes, and build their business; and

(2) building products that bring our partnerships to life, with ideas such as surfacing Divvy Homes as a resource within employer portals, partnerships with teacher’s unions or mortgage services.

A key part of this role will be working with designers across teams to understand the problems and opportunities of all actors and come up with a unified vision for our products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define the problems, solutions and success metrics.
  • Own user flows, prototype interactions, and launch new products and services
  • Collaborate with the design lead, product managers and engineers from other teams to set a product vision and strategy for your product area.
  • Measure and improve your designs based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
  • Inspire the rest of the design team, share your knowledge, and bring new ideas to the table! 💡

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience working in UX, UI, HCI, and related fields with experience working on mobile first web experiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • A portfolio showing your thoughtful UI and UX work.
  • Familiarity with most common design / prototyping tools (i.e Figma, Principle, etc) and an ability to iterate quickly as ideas evolve
  • Proven track record of translating customer needs into product features and solutions
  • Experience conducting user research and/or user testing sessions.
  • A strong emoji game is not required but strongly encouraged 🤫

What we offer

  • The best design team you could ask for.
  • Scale with a rapidly growing organization, with significant opportunity for growth
  • Play a role in the transformation of financial equality and the homebuying process’ redesign
  • Competitive salary + equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k match, commuter)
  • Position can be 100% remote, or on-site in our SF or Denver offices

If you don’t meet all of the requirements listed here, we still encourage you to apply. No job description is perfect, and we might find an even more suitable opportunity that matches your skills and experience.
