Nearly everyone at Cisco Meraki visits our customers in the field, from Executives to Designers, Support Staff, Sales, and Engineering. As a Consumer Insights Researcher joining the hardware team, you will be welcomed and supported by an entire team who is passionate about our customer’s success.
You will help us structure and scale our passion into a rigorous process that continuously builds more and more value for our customers time and time again, with greater speed, and more impact at each turn. You will lead and help the team elicit, understand and structure iterative feedback through data qualitative feedback. You will guide the team in understanding core user needs that define new areas of product development. You will work with the team to ensure that the changes are made and that the impact you’ve forecast is delivered as the product launches.
You Will:
- Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
- Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments (A/B testing).
- Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Understand and incorporate sophisticated technical and business requirements into research.
- Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.
- Mentorship for emerging professionals in research
- An innovator who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get into the weeds
You Have:
- 5+ years of market research & insights experience
- Extensive experience leading end-to-end research, from prioritizing to planning, executing, and reporting
- Experience integrating user research findings into meaningful product changes
- Strong understanding of different research methods (when do use quantitative vs qualitative, approaches to foundational and usability studies, etc.)
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience conducting interviews, field visits, usability studies (live and remote)
- BA/BS degree in Anthropology, CS, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or related field OR equivalent practical experience.
