About the Role
Our safety team is growing and we're looking for a technical safety leader who will help protect against catastrophic accident, reputation/financial loss, ensure Nuro meets and exceeds industry standards for AV safety and lead our robot safety strategy.
About the Work
Conduct system safety assessments focused on autonomy validation and autonomy process improvements, such as simulation coverage and process, routine software release process, code review process and automated module-level software tests
Facilitate implementing coding standards and best practices for safety applications
Provide oversight of design and test methods to assure compliance with applicable autonomy-related safety internal policy, industry standards, performance metrics and thresholds
Provide oversight of operational design domain management, new feature implementation and validation
Analyze autonomy-related incident and issue reports to identify potential safety impact and corrective actions
About You
Experience driving formal analysis of safety-critical software systems
Experience with formal software validation and verification methods, to include unit and regressions tests
- Experience driving code reviews and supporting formal functional safety analysis for safety-critical software
Experience with safe software standards and compliance
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
