About the Role
The Camera Testing Engineer will define, build and implement camera testing process that cover all camera system specifications. You will generate evaluation report to compare camera performance from various vendors. You will work with internal engineering team to define and establish qualification and acceptance procedure for mass volume.
About the Work
- Define, develop and implement camera testing procedure to cover engineering specifications
- Engage with vendors to evaluate camera modules and provide comparison analysis
- Work with image quality team to support and validate camera tuning through testing and quantitative analysis
- Interact with the perception team to trouble-shoot and address camera and image quality related challenges
- Implement and maintain camera module testing plans and incoming quality control procedures at mass volume
About You
- 3+ years working experience on camera testing, experience with automotive camera preferred
- B.S. in Physics, CS, EE or related area
- Strong understanding of camera fundamentals, and image quality specifications, e.g., MTF, SFR, Flare, and etc.
- Working experience with image testing environment and tools, e.g., Imatest
- Experience with scripting languages, e.g. Python, MATLAB
- Understanding of image signal processing (ISP) pipelines, camera calibration and image quality tuning
- Good quantitative analysis, documentation and communication skills
