At Ouster, we're developing advanced sensor hardware and vision algorithms for autonomous cars and drones. We're looking for software and hardware engineers interested in working on the systems that underpin modern robotics: high performance sensors, localization, mapping, object detection, tracking and classification. Our team is composed of engineers that wear many hats and enjoy building robots that cope with the messiness of the real world. All of us push code, some of us build hardware, and none of us wants to wait another decade for cars and drones to be driving themselves.
We are looking for experienced DevOps engineers to drive efficiency improvements throughout Ouster’s deep technology stack. Through general solutions and best practices, DevOps engineers have the opportunity to make a positive impact on both the cloud and embedded platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement solutions that broadly improve developer productivity and operation efficiency
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to deploy their work into production
- Drive and implement DevOps best practices: CI/CD, automation, continuous testing, monitoring, alerting
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members across diverse disciplines
- Senior DevOps engineers are expected to mentor junior team members
- Participate in on-call rotation
Experience & Skills:
- BS or MS in computer science or equivalent education
- 2+ years of experience with a major cloud provider (GCP / AWS / Azure)
- Expertise with the following cloud services or technologies:
- Terraform / GCP Deployment Manager / AWS CloudFormation
- GCP Stackdriver / ELK stack / AWS CloudWatch
- Experience with Python development
- Experience with Bash scripting in Linux environment
- Infrastructure automation such as Ansible / Salt / Puppet
- Strong security practices
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Continuous integration using Jenkins
- Containerization using Docker
- Experience with the following:
- Kubernetes
- SQL
- GCP Cloud Storage / AWS S3
- Good Key Management Practices such as Vault / Google KMS / AWS KMS
- GCP IAM / AWS IAM / JumpCloud
- NoSQL database expertise
