Job Description

Verana Health is looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing dynamic, interactive data visualizations, utilizing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions.

Responsibilities 

• You will be building data visualization as well as interactive web applications.
• Create and manage production ready frontend code with a strong focus on re-usability, scalability, and performance.
• Bring the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.
• Collaborate and communicate with designers, front-end engineers, product managers and QA engineers in ensuring that user interface is consistent and design goals are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, D3.js, web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• 5+ years of experience in advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, etc. Prior knowledge on building data visualization web applications is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, time management, and organization skills
• A strong work ethic, belief in teamwork, and desire to go the extra mile to assist our clients
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
• Ability to work independently, with a group or with remote teams.
• Knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated on SDLC. Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
