Description
Cloud Engineering team is looking for Software Engineers to be part of GCP Deployment Manager (DM) to Terraform tool migration team. The team mission is to migrate DM customers to KRM and Terraform, by providing conversion tooling and migration guidance and ensuring their success with GCP along the way.
The preferable location is Seattle, WA, but ready to consider candidates from other West Coast locations

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Focus on Deployment Manager (DM) to Terraform migration, end-to-end validation, supporting advanced configuration and at the latter stages, customer migration and support
• Reverse engineer Deployment Manager resources to GCP REST API specifications, written in Yaml and Python
• Use GCP Cloud Logging to validate DM API to GCP REST API method and parameter mappings
• Reverse engineer GCP REST API specifications to Terraform mappings
• Read, debug, and extend a Python command-line interface for converting Deployment Manager configuration to Terraform
• Author jinja templates which convert Deployment Manager resources to Terraform
• Identify, design and author end-to-end tests validating customer migration from Deployment Manager to Terraform using DM Convert

• Python & Jinja templates development experience
