Job Description
You will join the MEMS design team, which performs simulation and characterize for acoustic performance of MEMS transducer.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Contribute to Butterfly's transducer array models with software development
  • Run device simulations for transducer design and root cause analysis using in-house models and commercial FEA tools like COMSOL/OnScale/Ansys
  • Run wave propagation and imaging simulations to evaluate transducer design performance
  • Develop transducer characterization methods, hardware and software to evaluate the image quality and other relevant transducer performance metrics
  • Other MEMS Technology duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • M.S. (PhD preferred) in EE, ME, Physics, or related field with 4 years applicable experience
  • Strong programming skills in one or more in the programming languages (Python, C++, Java, MATLAB) and experience in Linux environment
  • Solid signal processing knowledge and data presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of ultrasonic transducer physics and array signal processing techniques
  • Experience with ultrasonic image reconstruction and beamforming methods
  • Familiarity with software version control tools like Git
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Hands-on experience in the development of electroacoustic test setups and methods, including instrument control and data post processing.
