Finix is unique in the market. We build payments infrastructure for vertically-focused software companies (think restaurant, yoga studio and winery software) and fintech providers so they can own and monetize payments without the heavy lift of building complex systems from scratch or relying entirely on disjointed third-party services. The engineering team owns the responsibility that our product always delivers on our customers’ expectations. The Sr. Software Engineer in Test is accountable for Finix’s customers’ ability to collect revenue and disburse funds to their customers reliably and accurately. The role centers around owning the quality of our product, representing the quality expectations of our customers, and striving for quality improvements on a daily basis with product managers, engineers and customer support teams. Finix is looking for a team member to join our engineering team who brings exceptional attention to detail, completeness, accuracy, and an obsession with ongoing quality improvement.

You will

• Deep dive into requirements, plan, and automate end-to-end integration test cases
• Own software quality, best practices, and QE infrastructure in your domain
• Develop close relationships with product management, software engineers, and other SETs
• Become an expert in your payments domain and mentor junior software engineers in Test
• Proactively improve test cases, tooling, automation, processes and best practices

You are

• Expert at automating large, complex and technically challenging test cases in Java code
• Comfortable managing large automated end-to-end and integration test suites
• Capable of balancing completely automated tests with manual test cases
• Obsessed with finding edge cases, validating acceptance criteria, and code coverage
• Proactive in monitoring running systems and troubleshooting exceptions in testing environments

You have

• Have six years of experience leading, planning and writing automated test cases in code
• Experience with multiple testing frameworks such as JUnit, REST Assured, Cucumber, and JBehave
• Led and mentored junior software engineers in Test
• Strong multitasking skills and can manage multiple competing priorities
• Raised the bar on every project you were involved in
