WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop 80+ custom reports for our customer base. Estimating that 70% of these requests are variations of existing reports with parameter tweaking while 30% of the requests are net new and will require ground up queries/development Review the existing batch of 250+ custom reports and go through a cleaning exercise
• Tune the SQL, get the structures set, work with a Product Management resource to accurately inventory each report and understand its functionality. This is required so that we can turn all of these custom reports into some parameter driven core reports that can be submitted directly through the application by our users
• We are estimating that ~85% of the current batch of reports can be boiled down into 15 core, parameter driven reports. This will be a separate development effort though and I am only looking for the contractors to clean and prep the current report set. Continue with any ongoing custom report requests that may come in over the next 6 months
• A Product Manager and a Business Analyst available to support the development of reports, working with them on the database model, the data itself and helping to test/verify. They are not technical, but are very familiar with the existing reports and the application itself

WHAT YOU HAVE

• A degree in an associated field and/or other advanced certification along with significant experience
• SQL knowledge is the basic requirement
• Though Java knowledge is not required, a contractor should be able to have a G2 development environment up and running (eclipse, JBoss) in order to catch SQLs from logs, as requests are usually related to some existing functionality available in G2, with additional tweaking. This will also be the fastest way for someone to learn the database model
• Regarding MicroStrategy, we are currently transitioning to SAP Business Objects. Any understanding or experience with MicroStrategy and/or Business Objects would be beneficial, although not required
