Join a growing, venture-funded startup! We manage hundreds of terabytes of data and dozens of AWS Instances across multiple VPCs. Our clients use Everlaw to operate on mission-critical and highly confidential data.

Our Infrastructure team, with the help of our full-stack engineers, has laid the groundwork for our infrastructure, and we are looking to expand the team to take our infrastructure tooling and workflows to the next level. We have a history of building reliable software (we had 99.97% non-maintenance uptime last year). You’ll help us keep it that way—and get even better—as we expand our offerings and the amount of data that we host.

You’ll become an early member of our Infrastructure team, working closely with our other team members and developers to improve our site reliability with respect to:

Monitoring and driving improvements to the performance and reliability of our servers and services

Improving and maintaining the tooling, logging, and alerting to enable that monitoring

Developing our on-call program by improving our playbooks, tooling, and best practices

Participating in the on-call rotation

Contributing to redundancy and failover mechanisms for our production architecture

Participating in new release deployments

Aiding in critical issue resolution as needed (during work hours or otherwise)

Qualifications

  • You have experience administering a cloud environment and Ubuntu Linux servers
  • You are familiar with the command line and scripting
  • You are obsessed with automation and process improvement
  • You have the ability to debug and diagnose technical problems
  • You are known for excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • You are comfortable administering an always-on platform
  • You are comfortable with autonomy and know when to take initiative
  • You are committed to security best practices

Pluses

  • You have past experience developing and participating in SRE teams
  • You are fluent in one or more compiled languages
  • You have specific expertise in Amazon Web Services
