We are looking for experienced Embedded Software QA engineers that would help us ensure that the Security AI product we are delivering meet both our and our customers quality expectations.
Candidate should be a talented engineer that can show initiative, adaptability to challenging environment, problem solving skills, and understanding of QA and test automation process.
Responsibilities:

  • Creating, documenting, and executing test plans related to Plume’s Security AI product.
  • Be involved with new feature functional and design definitions for understanding of deliverables.
  • Interface and support 3rd party integration partner needs and requirements.
  • Build and maintain an IoT QA lab equipped with various IoT malware signatures and malicious servers for testing.
  • Analyze root cause of filed defects to the best of your ability, using embedded device logs and external testing tools.
  • Testing coverage includes functional, security, and performance features within embedded device firmware.
  • Integrate select test cases into our automated regression system.
  • Follow through with stakeholders in the company that includes Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, Support, and partners.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in EE, CS or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in embedded device QA with network security experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong competence and experience in L2/L3 networking protocols such as Bridging, Routing, VLAN, NAT, DNS and DHCP.
  • Solid understanding of embedded device testing and triage.
  • Programming experience in Shell/Python/C.
  • Software testing methodology, including writing & execution of test plans and debugging.
  • Substantial system level test experience.
  • Defect creation and tracking.
  • Experience with debugging of embedded devices in Linux using methods such as syslog, serial console, and/or SSH.
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity in an environment where speed and scale is our direction.
  • Ability to self-direct, work within constraints and to challenge the status quo.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong competence and experience in cloud technologies.
  • Experience in WiFi systems, standards and protocols.
