The Role:

In this role you will collaborate very closely with the Engineering Leaders and the Product Managers on execution of multiple software project deliverables. You will be responsible to effectively and efficiently manage the development sprints through the entire project lifecycle - from planning to execution to review in an agile development environment. The ideal candidate lives, breathes Agile and has demonstrated ability in implementing the framework and tailoring it to the needs of various teams. Your projects will span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, and it will be your responsibility to keep all the players coordinated on progress and deadlines. The projects will span across all aspects of engineering including Product Engineering, growth hacking, as well as Infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity where you will get to work across many aspects of the business to setup processes and maximize business impact.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead engineering project execution using agile methodologies across multiple teams supporting PMs and Engineering leaders
  • Be the in-house champion / expert of agile methodologies and frameworks
  • Partner closely with PMs and Engineering leaders on identifying the right priorities, focus of sprints, and management of backlogs
  • Establish estimation frameworks and train the team on the same
  • Drive project execution by facilitating standups, sprint-planning, sprint-review, and retrospective ceremonies
  • Be accountable for timely execution and project deliveries along with engineering leads. Analyze risks, and mitigation accordingly, including contingency plans and initiating corrective actions.
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status across all levels across multiple teams
  • Proactively identify and eliminate impediments and facilitate flow
  • Own and maintain project execution data in JIRA
  • Establish key execution metrics to track in JIRA
  • Present high level KPI readouts to senior management periodically

About You:

  • BS in technical field, preferably in Computer Science
  • 7+ years of software project management experience and deep understanding of SDLC, taking a project through a complete lifecycle
  • Demonstrated expertise in agile methodologies/frameworks and deep understanding of agile metrics to analyze and improve sprint planning
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices
  • Good technical knowledge - should be able to assess/size stories, epics with the engineering team
  • Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
  • Excellent communicator. Comfortable with presenting project readouts to the senior leadership team
  • Prior experience with Confluence and JIRA including automation preferred
  • (Optional) Certified scrum master
