We are looking for a Support Engineer to help our customers integrate and manage their integrations with our APIs (https://docs.synapsefi.com).

Support engineers provide technical support to customers regarding API products (https://docs.synapsefi.com). You will mostly be talking to customers on Slack (sometimes email or Zendesk) and sometimes via Google hangouts if needed. We are here today because our customers and it’s very important for us to provide them the very best experience as we can.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • An ability to work independently within a small, fast-paced team
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and unrelenting passion to deliver the best service possible
  • The ability to implement feedback, learn quickly, and contribute new ideas
  • A general concern for the wellbeing of others and the desire to work on problems that maximize a positive future for humanity
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for CS/Client Experience team.
  • Support customer success and Client Experience team in resolving technical issues.
  • Translate client/customer success questions in to engineering problem for internal digestion and improvement.
  • Provide quality detailed explanation to support team about technical issues.
  • Assist Platforms with API integration during deployment.
  • Understand Synapse products and how they fit into the financial landscape 
  • Test updates/changes to the API through postman
  • Set up API control configurations for platforms
  • Update API control configurations for platforms
  • API Walkthrough (Call with clients showing API request/response as well as general use flow)
  • API Code Reviews (Review platform code base through to ensure correct
  • API implementation before clients go live)
  • Navigate Synapse Core repo's and understand it from an end-to-end high-level architecture down to reading the code.

Key Qualifications:

  • Basic Software programming skills - understanding of Python is a must
  • Familiarity with our API. We recommend trying to build something on top of our APIs before the interview
  • Excellent communication skills
