We are looking for an extremely motivated individual to join our finance team as we continue to scale and grow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who will work directly with the Director of Accounting and enjoys helping to build processes from the ground up and rolling up their sleeves.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Work closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to ensure proper recognition and presentation of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable and deferred revenue from a presentation, recognition and payment application standpoint 
  • Work with Engineering to continue to track revenue at a user level for revenue recognition purposes
  • Perform credit card reconciliations and partner with cardholders to ensure proper classifications of operating expenses
  • Assist with month-end close and transition work away from our 3rd-party accounting firm by owning financial statement account reconciliations
  • Create, revise and maintain fixed assets, and credit cards schedules
  • Work with IT to determine the correct fixed asset balance and depreciation amount
  • Partner with Engineering to determine website capitalization costs
  • Calculate and track commission expense, accruals and payouts 
  • Document all accounting procedures as necessary 
  • Assist the Director of Accounting with preparing the company for its first audit and subsequent audits
  • Assist in system implementations 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • CPA 
  • Experience with revenue recognition as it relates to ASC 606
  • Experience in Quickbooks Online, Netsuite, Bill.com, Expensify or similar accounting software systems.
  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity of a fast-paced startup - ability to innovate, and solve problems creatively
  • Desire to learn, grow, develop, and eventually mentor future team members
  • Have a sense of humor and like to have fun. We work hard, but we laugh a lot too

  • NetSuite or other accounting ERP administrator experience
