POSITION SUMMARY
The Harness Accounting team is searching for a new Accounts Payable Accountant. Are you excited by the idea of joining a high-growth SaaS start up at the ground floor? This role will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will function as an early member of the GL team as our main AP Accountant. You will work closely with our Senior Accountants and participate in developing an efficient procure-to-pay process, vendor & PO workflow, expense reporting policies, and assist with audit support. We’re looking for teammates who are customer-centric and service oriented, comfortable working with a dynamic team and evolving process. The learning curve will be steep and the pace furious, but the long term rewards will be worth it as you will experience first hand a fast growth company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and process vendor invoices
- Review expense reports and travel expenses
- Manage and reconcile various AP ledgers and agings
- Maintain vendor records/contracts and ensure workflow compliance
- Work with external teams on proper accounting and classification of expenses
- Assist employees with following procedures for spending company money
- Prepare various month end reconciliations in preparation for audits
- Continually improve our processes to drive efficiency
- Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong acumen for debits and credits and talent for documenting your work
- Versatile system experience (Netsuite, Airbase, Expensify, etc.)
- Positive attitude, self sufficient and solid sense of ownership for your duties
- Proactive and strong time management skills
- Top-tier spreadsheet skills
- Builder at heart and thrives in fast paced environment
- Willing to adapt and learn new skills
