General Purpose:

• We seek an analytical expert, BI and Data Analyst with a strong experience building analytical systems and reporting data to help monitor and provide insights that drive business value through financial and operational reporting
• In this role, you will identify trends that can help finance and executives at Corsair make business decisions to modernize and improve processes in the organization through detailed analysis, dashboard creation, and use of data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling technologies.  You will be driving/supporting the accounting and FP&A functions reporting and analysis needs as they relate to BI reporting.  You will be comfortable working in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with finance and business managers, data engineers and the offshore BI team, and our executives. Senior BI and Data Analyst skills also include familiarity with several BI tools, programming languages and knowledge of EPM/Hyperion tools such as EPBCS and FCCS.
• Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence system to help us make better decisions in addition to improving available reporting within the finance and accounting functions

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Communicate with business users in technical requirement collection, progress reporting and problem solving
• Join the effort to develop the BI platform surrounding business metrics and reporting and lead the effort within finance
• Work closely with peers and user groups to ensure on-time execution of all deliverables
• Analyze business data capabilities with a different point of view and recommend to users the measurement
• Translate user's requirements to the offshore BI team
• Visualize data to be reported and capture in key dashboards
• Perform the role of quality control at each phase of development process
• Monitor and ensure actual progress meeting the project plan
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Provide day to day production support and off-hours support as required
• Work is performed independently with minimal direction

Essential Skills and Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst or similar positions with direct experience in data analysis.  Experience in a financial role is a big plus.
• Strong financial acumen including financial modeling skills and familiararity with financial models, statements, accounting terms and subledger reporting
• Familiarity with business operations, KPI’s, terms
• Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level
• Willing to work in collaborative, cross-functional group
• Data modeling skills (normalization and star/snowflake schema)
• Data validation skills (anomaly detection and checksum)
• Data visualization skills (design thinking)
• Experience with SQL Server stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS)
• Experience with Microsoft AWS Cloud based systems (or Microsoft Azure)
• Experience with Power BI, DAX functions and other BI tools like Tableau, Looker, Oracle BI…
• Experience with Excel and VBA
• Experience or knowledge of Essbase and EPBCS
• Cloud applications and data security experience
• Good to know about Python, Google Bigquery, Snowflake,..
• Strong attention to detail
• Development of best practices (requirements gathering, project management, user acceptance testing, version control, support, maintenance, documentation, etc.)
