Job Description:

As a key member of the finance team, the Controller will  lead all accounting operations, technical accounting, compliance, tax, and financial reporting. This individual must be a self-starter, hands-on, able to dive deep into problem resolution as necessary, and is able to see the big picture as much as he/she may need to be attentive to detail. The Controller will have experience in hiring and managing people and will support and partner with the CFO in helping to achieve corporate objectives, the goals of the department and, importantly, the goals of the individuals under his/her supervision. 

Responsibilities: 

• Build, lead, manage and scale team responsible for accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting matters.
• Own the financial close and all associated processes and reporting to deliver accurate and timely results to the organization.
• Responsible for the development of accounting policies and the appropriate application of those policies to the Company's business activities.
• Develop and evolve processes,  internal controls, policies, and infrastructure in an effort to scale the business
• Partner with internal teams to drive process and systematic improvements including  data collection and reporting streams.
• Manage the stock administrative function including the calculation of stock-based compensation expense.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local corporate income, payroll and other required regulatory filings
• Manage year-end financial audit and relationships with external auditors.
• Evaluate opportunities for scale and growth and consider ways to drive efficiency and automation.
• Work with the Finance team to ensure coordination of timely publishing of metrics, forecasts and budgets.

If you have some or all of the following please apply:

• Big 4 CPA with 10+ years combined accounting experience and at least 5 years of industry experience,  preferably within SaaS/ life sciences/digital health.
• Strong technical accounting background
• Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, multitask, and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
• Highly collaborative with a deep sense of ownership and accountability and willing to roll up sleeves and dive into the details
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication and project management skills
• Ability to partner and influence cross-functionally and execute independently
• Proven ability to successfully evaluate, implement, and integrate financial systems and tools; ERP implementation experience preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce and related software
