Corporate Tax Manager

About The Role
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This role will be the first in-house Corporate Tax hire at Rippling, and will work closely with our external tax advisors to build compliance and reporting processes from the ground up. In addition to these projects, there will be strategic initiatives supporting Rippling’s future growth.
What You'll Do:
Partner closely with external tax advisors in the preparation of the Company's US (federal) quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures
Manage all aspects of direct and indirect tax compliance, including the preparation and timely filing of all required state and local tax returns
Lead Avalara implementation and integration with Billing software to support Sales tax compliance
Perform monthly tax related journal entries and reconciliations for indirect tax accounts
Support multi-state tax audits, including data collection for timely responses to information requests
Liaise with external auditors and tax accountants to deliver PBC requests in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting and a CA or US CPA required
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Minimum of 6 years of experience in US Income Tax and State & Local Taxes at a public accounting firm
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Independent problem solver with the ability to take on tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to manage multiple tasks, take ownership of work product and improve processes
