About the Role:
We’re seeking a dynamic corporate finance leader to develop and drive forward our vision of reimagining how residential real estate is bought and sold. The ideal candidate for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated when faced with difficult challenges that need creative solutions. In this role, you will be a critical part of a world-class finance team that is integrated throughout the operations of the Company. Your team works closely with the executive team to set the company’s strategy and allocate resources to drive optimal results. You are a natural leader who can both step back and take a strategic approach while also diving into the details.
As Head of Corporate Finance, you will:
- Lead company-wide planning and measure ongoing performance against goals and objectives
- Continuously refine and upgrade reporting (and reporting systems) in order to best reflect the business and improve decision-making
- Develop capital allocation frameworks that help drive the long-term strategy of Opendoor
- Closely partner with Investor Relations and Corporate Development functions
- Provide quarterly reporting, guidance and financial analysis to to support quarterly earnings
- Present to senior leadership and respond to ad hoc requests for analysis
- Manage and continue to build out the corporate finance team
We’re looking for teammates who have:

- Experience working with senior leadership and influencing outcomes
- Strong business acumen and systems level thinking
- A growth mindset and a natural curiosity to learn and problem solve
- Strong research skills, ability to condense information into core findings and effectively communicate with people from various backgrounds
- The ability to develop strong relationships across the organization, as well as with external stakeholders
- Experience successfully managing a team
Bonus Points:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting required
- Minimum 5 years experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development or similar field
- Minimum 3 years experience successfully leading a team in a high-growth, fast paced environment; tech company experience preferred
