The person in this role will be leading our underwriting process for our larger multifamily acquisition deals. They will own investment analytics and work across different departments to ensure due diligence is followed through. You will continue to iterate on the process moving forward.

What You Will Do

  • Perform financial analysis, modeling and underwriting for commercial real estate acquisitions.
  • Summarize financial data into investment metrics that can be used to predict performance (IRR, Yield on Cost, NPV etc.).
  • Track the development pipeline, create cash-flow scenarios and summary documentation for potential investments.
  • Create and manage rigorous due diligence and risk management processes.
  • Collaborate with data, real estate leasing, operations, finance, bookings, corporate sales and other teams to collect feedback to inform analysis
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of research and comparable data.
  • Work with metro-specific stakeholders to ensure alignment and follow-through with investment deals.

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial real estate financial analysis, investment analysis or underwriting OR 2+ years of experience in financial, investment or risk analysis at a financial institution with a passion for Real Estate.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely explain data through written, oral, and visual means.
  • Ability to deeply understand different geographic real estate markets.
  • Expert excel user, can properly analyze data using pivot tables and create fully-integrated investment pro-formas and underwriting models.
  • Argus DCF, DYNA and Yardi knowledge not required, but a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate through all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with ArcGIS, SQL, Python or Looker (our BI Platform) is a bonus.
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a high growth, rapidly changing environment.
