The Opportunity

As Afterpay’s Senior Director – Remuneration and Performance, you’ll lead the Compensation and Benefits, Global Mobility, Immigration and People Analytics teams to deliver against Afterpay’s strategic priorities. In this global role, reporting into our Chief People Officer, you’ll ensure the team has focus and the appropriate resources, tools, processes and procedures to effectively perform their roles.


With extensive experience in remuneration and performance roles you will be passionate about design, delivery, coaching and development to achieve high performance!

- Design and delivery of all performance, reward and recognition initiatives in line with the Remuneration Roadmap to attract, retain and motivate high performers globally

- Facilitate the speedy and smooth movement of talent between Afterpay regions minimizing financial impacts to the individual and company

- Take accountability for the smooth operation of the PRNC, ensuring papers are simple and accurate, submitted on time, pre-questions from the Committee are responded to efficiently and actions are followed up

- Work with the Company Secretaries to ensure the agenda is agreed, disclosure matters are understood and work with Finance to deliver on data and modelling requirements

- Partner with Investor Relations on management of the proxy advisors and investors, ensuring data provided is accurate and understood.

- Facilitate appropriate action needed based on external party feedback and internal practices

- Partner with all relevant parties on production of the annual Remuneration Report

- Compliance with governance and legislative requirements in all countries in which Afterpay operates

- Invest in coaching and development of the team to raise capability to level needed at Afterpay for the team to be considered high performing

- Work with the Communications Team to improve the understanding and communication of Afterpay practices

- Managing the Global Leadership Team and senior leaders globally as major stakeholders and contributors to Afterpay programs

- Work to maximise cost efficiencies across the team and minimise unnecessary external consultant spend

- You will have passion for remuneration and performance, with 10+ years’ experience in ASX listed environments

- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead enterprise wide initiatives, along with process and change across multiple geographies

- Established leadership skills to manage, coach and motivate teams

- Ability to communicate compensation and benefits concepts and complex/sensitive messages in a simplified and empathic manner

- Advanced consulting, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills

- Creative, commercial and practical approach to resolving issues and problem solving

- You follow through, you show up, and make it happen, fast.
