Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Starting in 2022, teams will meet in person a few weeks every quarter in one of Grammarly's hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of a hub. To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting and analytical skills, and has the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will work cross-functionally with teams throughout the organization, within a detail-oriented environment where creative problem-solving is highly valued. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has an excellent core knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX and is eager to contribute their expertise to a quickly growing company. The ideal candidate will have a full vision on the financial reporting and technical accounting process and will work closely with the accounting team to streamline processes that impact our financials.
Your impact
As Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will work in a fast-paced environment and will help establish and improve existing processes in accounting and reporting.Key to your success in this role will be a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, passion about Grammarly, and excitement for building a career in the accounting organization.
In this role, you will:
- Draft internal quarterly and annual financial statements and results of operations, assess current documentation and analysis of critical accounting issues, and identify gaps and propose changes needed.
- Develop a deep understanding of the technical accounting and reporting function.
- Partner with the Accounting and Finance teams to streamline financial reporting process.
- Promote thought leadership in process improvement to scale technical accounting and reporting, procedures, and methodologies.
We're looking for someone who

- Has 3–5 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, and/or tech company in a financial reporting, technical accounting, audit or assurance role.
- Has an active CPA license.
- Displays a high level of genuine curiosity about our business, asks lots of questions, and exhibits eagerness to learn.
- Has high aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem-solving in technical accounting topics and has strong skills with spreadsheets.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication.
- Preferably is experienced with SaaS and/or enterprise software business models.
