Senior Revenue Accountant

About the Role:
Join KeepTruckin and become a member of the Revenue Accounting Team as a Senior Revenue Accountant reporting to a Revenue Manager or Senior Manager. This person needs to be a great communicator, have a technical understanding of ASC 606, and be able to deal with some ambiguity. This person will help implement ASC 606 and design the revenue accounting process. This role needs to be comfortable with analyzing large data sets. This is an opportunity to support a system implementation and lead other process improvements across the organization.
What You'll Do:
- Review customer and partner contracts to determine accounting under ASC 606, document conclusions, and adjust in accounting systems accordingly
- Advise sales, deals desk, and legal during contract negotiations and go-to-market activities to ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Prepare month-end accounting close tasks, journal entries, reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
- Assist with standalone selling price studies
- Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of internal controls surrounding revenue recognition
- Support quarterly and annual audits as well as auditor’s review of ASC 606 adoption
- Contribute to special projects as needed such as system implementations and ad-hoc reporting
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting emphasis is preferred) and 3+ years of revenue recognition specific work experience
- Prior experience implementing or auditing ASC 606 and/or reviewing customer contracts for compliance with ASC 606
- Able to work with and analyze large data sets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to clearly and succinctly document processes and procedures
- Prior experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, and 606 revenue accounting systems is preferred
