An Insider's view of HomeLight

What's something quirky about your company?

We enthusiastically celebrate random and obscure “holidays” such as “National Blueberry Pancake Day,” “National Make a New Friend Day” or “National Popcorn Day” thanks to our office managers who set up treats and experiences to bring the team together in relaxed and fun ways throughout every work week.

Director of Offline Marketing

What does your typical day look like?

Each day begins with stand-up at 10:30a.m. and we might have another meeting or two sprinkled in throughout the day. Most of the day is dedicated to engineering focus time, which I love. Still, everyone on the team is fairly interruptible, so it's easy to have quick, ad-hoc technical discussions when you get stuck or need a second opinion.

Software Engineer

What unique initiatives do you have that encourage innovation?

Increasing transparency and removing inefficiencies in the home purchase transaction is at the core of how HomeLight Closing Services makes decisions. Deeply understanding the pain points of our clients and real estate agents as part of the design process motivates us to build products and processes that go beyond industry conventions.

Director of Operations

What’s the vibe like in the office?

The SF office embodies our "Work Hard, Ski Hard" value proposition, by allowing proper time off & flexible work schedules. Upper management encourages everyone to work hard, but wants to make sure that their team is spending equal time with their family & friends. The office fosters a positive and comfortable work environment.
