Position Title: Commercial & Privacy Counsel
Position Description:
This junior role within our legal team will have ownership over a defined portion of our day-to-day commercial work, and will assist in ongoing privacy and compliance initiatives. Bonus points for experience in mobile gaming, adtech, or both!
Responsibilities:
Point person for generating, negotiating, and finalizing commercial contracts for our business partners with emphasis on supply side relationships
Key resource for data privacy, protection, and compliance
Help shape processes, templates, policies, and workflows to drive growth and improve efficiency. Then, iterate!
Competencies & Requirements:
J.D. from an accredited law school
California Bar admission
1 to 4 years of experience (combination of in-house and law firm) in relevant subjects, such as tech transactions, privacy, licensing, employment, corporate, M&A, or other transactional work
Substantial understanding of privacy, data security and commercial laws (or willingness to learn)
Fluency translating legal advice into actionable guidance for product and business teams
Excellent attention to detail with good organizational skills
Strong communication skills — able to explain thoughts in writing and in person
Sound and practical business sense (and common sense)
Team player, with strategic mindset
