What we are looking for:

MasterClass is looking for a smart, organized, detail-oriented paralegal who can support a growing legal team across all legal workstreams, with a focus on contracts, vendor management, IP, and privacy work. The right candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of the role:

• Support organizational and administrative processes across all legal work streams as needed; organize and maintain legal team files; refine processes and workflows to ensure organization across all legal workstreams.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating form agreements, vendor agreements and other form agreements such as NDAs and DPAs
• Help administer vendor management program, including working with internal cross-functional partners to ensure proper vendor onboarding
• Assist with privacy workstreams, such as organizing and updating the data map, responding to data subject requests, and working with internal teams 
• Assist with IP workstreams, including organizing registrations, agreements, and licenses
• Develop playbooks and guidelines to ensure consistency in execution of contracts and legal workstreams
• Proactively identify areas for improvement for all legal workstreams

Requirements:

• B.S. or B.A.
• 2-4 years work experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, or similar operational role
• Superior organizational skills, detail-oriented
• Ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight time frames in a startup environment
• Team player that is willing to dig in and help where needed
• Excellent analytical skills; experienced in reading, summarizing, and organizing large amounts of information
• Skilled with Gsuite, Word, Excel
• Familiarity with privacy, data security, technology, or media law issues is a plus
• Work full-time in our San Francisco office
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
