The Role
Information security is paramount to what we do. Step is looking for the Head of the Information Security responsible for product and company information security. This is an opportunity to start early, build a security program at Step, and hire/lead the Information Security Team. You are a self-starter who is comfortable working cross-functionally with other teams across Step.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive information security and IT risk management program
- Security architecture: Planning, building, buying, and rolling out security software
- Security operations: Real-time analysis of immediate threats, triage
- Be a security subject matter expert and respond to any internal security engineering questions/request
- Work with other teams to help architect solutions that are inherently secure
- Effectively balance security risk and product advancement
- Oversee penetration testing
- Build threat models
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 5+ years relevant work experience
- Well versed in Cloud Infrastructure and Mobile Application Security
