MasterClass is looking to bring on a Production & Post Technician to assist in numerous Post-Production and Production related tasks. This person will be responsible for managing our Post-Production workflows, ensuring hardware is transported to and from set in a coordinated and efficient manner, and has a deep technical knowledge of Post-Production tools including the Adobe Suite, Storage Arrays, and Video Processing. A perfect candidate for MasterClass has the ability to switch tasks on the fly, work in a fast paced environment with changing deadlines, and prioritize workflows to ensure the uptime of our editors.

Job Summary:

MasterClass’ Production & Post Technician role will report to the Director of IT and will work cross functionally with different departments within our Content Team. This role will require both technical expertise as well as the ability to effectively communicate to varying groups. If you love working with Video and a high growth start-up pace, this role might be perfect for you. 

Responsibilities of the role:

• Prepare/assign/manage all hard drives and other equipment going to and from all Class shoots
• Work with production teams to coordinate travel logistics for on-set equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with SNS EVO Storage arrays
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
• Research and present new media management findings + insights
• Track and log asset incidents 
• Responsible for the offloading of MasterClass Media to different Storage Solutions: LTO, AWS S3, SNS Storage Arrays
• Create and implement test plans for redundant Tape Storage
• Work with Editors and Assistant Editors to resolve technical issues
• Fluency with Macintosh Computers and troubleshooting processes

Requirements:

• Professional/comfortable knowledge of film production protocol
• Eagerness to create structure/organization from the ground level
• Interest and working knowledge of the technical side of film production
• Moderate experience in post-production
• Ability to critically think about existing processes and create better ways to execute them
• Ability to troubleshoot post-production issues
• Clear, calm communicator
