Position Summary:

The Vice President of Information Technology will be responsible for determining current and future Enterprise Infrastructure vision, operations and execution. This role will oversee the design and implementation as well as maintenance and support of information systems that support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. This includes overseeing Druva’s international office networks, communications, SaaS apps, internal data center, and end-user computing. This includes setting architectural directions for the organization and aligning to meet global business needs, ensuring flexible, modern technologies to support various compliance, privacy and security policies and procedures. 

Who You Are:

The VP of IT will lead the delivery of technology operations and services across Druva and company affiliates. The role is a vital leader of a growing team and must be a self-starter, possessing the ability to quickly understand complex situations and manage effective solutions across a diverse landscape of vendors, services, and staff. You must be able to influence, negotiate, and develop relationships with internal customers at all organizational levels.

The ideal candidate is an innovative leader with excellent analytical abilities and judgment who can set and deliver on the Information Technology team's technical objectives that support overall goals while being efficient and delivery focused. This is a technical hands-on management position which will lead to a Deputy CIO role at a future date as the company scales and you prove yourself.

What you'll Do:

  • Provide direct leadership to the regional IT managers and directors around the world in the Americas, EMEA, APAC, and India regions
  • You are a data-driven leader who manages a high-performance team of employees and service providers to deliver a quality set of coordinated global services with alignment to standard processes, tools, and service levels
  • Manage escalations of incidents through the different support tiers within end-user services 
  • Drive resolution of high severity outages impacting IT operations areas
  • Participates in and manages the development of IT vision; translate the vision into short-/long- term goals and deliverables that support the operations of IT services
  • Manage and effectively negotiate the engagement, delivery, and oversight of activities related to Infrastructure services provided by external vendors and service providers
  • Direct and advise on effective lab/data center facility set-up
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and adherence to corporate Infrastructure and security, SOC-2, SOx, ISO-27001 and internal policies as needed
  • Provide vision, guidance, and collaborative leadership related to technical infrastructure and IT initiatives across the organization, including digital marketing, data integration, cybersecurity, and IT operations, all within a milieu of strong, entrepreneurial, and technically savvy programs already in place.
  • Understanding and experience implementing savvy strategies for introducing and gaining broad buy-in for new ideas
  • Interface with business stakeholders functional area leaders to define support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness through positivity and customer satisfaction

  • An elevated level of emotional intelligence (curiosity, active listening, servant leadership)
  • Possess solid project management skills, can set and manage expectations extremely well, work effectively with others, and are exceedingly productive on your own while producing quality results
  • Proven experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions while fostering effective architecture/technology and operational practices culture
  • Demonstrated understanding of hardware utilization profiles and metrics, airflow, power densities and distributions
  • An innovative, data-driven person with a “can do” attitude and willingness to do the work.
  • High bar personal ethics with a “customer first” value system.
  • Develops, implements, maintains, and oversees enforcement of IS Operations policies, procedures, and associated plans for security, desktops and infrastructure based on industry-standard best practices, ISMS/SOC-2 Requirements.

What You bring:

  • 12+ years of progressively increasing leadership responsibility in IT Operations and services areas that include delivery of cloud services
  • Expertise in industry-wide best practices for data security, cloud-computing (primarily AWS), and information system management
  • Experience integrating security at every stage of the development cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems management, or equivalent experience 12 years related IS work experience.
