What You'll Do:
The Product team at Slickdeals is seeking a Product Analytics & Data Science Director to build the team, tooling, and processes that will enable the company to deeply understand the dynamics of our ecosystem and how our users use the product. This role will be responsible for defining and measuring the health of the product and generating the quantitative insights that inform our product strategy. You will:
- Build and nurture a high performing team of analysts/data scientists
- Partner with the leadership team to define and measure the health of the Slickdeals ecosystem
- Be a co-owner of the product strategy and help define OKRs that lead to positive business outcomes
- Generate and answer key strategic questions with digestible insights and visualizations that enable and motivate the product engineering teams to deliver more value to our customers and the business
- Partner with the Data Engineering team to identify and prioritize requirements for our data pipeline
- Drive decisions about tooling and process that improve data access, our learning velocity, and experiment hygiene
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience with product analytics or data science at a tech company
- 1+ years of management experience
- Proficiency with data mining, statistical analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling
- Proficiency with Excel, SQL, statistical modeling tools (eg. Python or R), and data visualization/business intelligence tools (ex. Tableau or Looker)
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower teams to make good decisions with data and data visualizations
- Demonstrated ability to create clarity and focus for your team in a fast-paced environment through good process and cross-functional collaboration
- Willingness and ability to dive in and do analysis on your own (we are a small and scrappy team!)
- Bonus points if you have e-commerce or two-sided marketplace experience
LOCATION: Los Angeles, San Mateo, or Las Vegas
Flexible hybrid schedule visiting our Los Angeles, San Mateo, or Las Vegas office.
