Carta is hiring a Lead Product Manager to drive our Law Firm and Board product and teams. The Lead Product Manager will own a suite of products that aim to (1) empower companies to collaborate with and make important decisions with their Boards and (2) create delightful, best-in-class experiences for our Law Firm users.

As a Product Manager for the team, you’ll focus on building relationships with our key law firm partners and board users to understand what their needs are, and design and implement new features that help boost engagement with our board management tools as well as core workflows for lawyers and paralegals. 

This role offers high visibility and collaboration with our executive team. This role is perfect for you if you love changing user behavior, digitizing manual processes, and have a passion for solving user problems, even though they might be reticent at first. 

Responsibilities 

  • User research: Spend time in the field observing, interviewing and synthesizing the conversations we have with our customers. They add to and augment personas based on the insights gathered.
  • Data analysis: Work heavily with Carta data, primarily doing analysis in support of product strategy, implementation or go to market. Product intuition is important but we don’t solely rely on it.
  • Write product briefs: Author the documents that frame ‘the why’ within the product development process.
  • Testing sessions: Conduct manual testing with Product, Design, Engineering and the business teams. 
  • OKRs: Understand how we use OKRs and execute product development initiatives that are aligned to your own OKRs. 
  • Launch support: Work with our go-to-market teams to implement marketing strategies for our products. Identify the triggers and compelling messages those teams can use to accelerate our expansion within customer bases. Write and compile release notes to inform internal stakeholders.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal teams like Sales, Marketing, Finance and Support on product releases and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of prior Product Manager experience
  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or other quantitative fields
  • Strong roadmapping, sprint-planning, and project-management skills
  • A collaborative attitude and a helpful personality
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude 
  • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills
