WHAT WE DO
As a Growth Analyst, you will play a leading role in the rapid expansion of our on-demand delivery platform. Your goal is to use data to identify and develop recommendations that drive the major channels of growth. In this role, your ideas will be reviewed by leadership and you will have end-to-end ownership of key initiatives that shape the future of Postmates. You must be comfortable with execution and accountability. You will implement your ideas.
The ideal candidate is technically minded, driven, hands-on and knows how to continuously move the needle.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage data to develop and implement strategies for efficiently growing the Fleet.
- Design, build, and update data pipelines to improve the availability and usability of Growth data.
- Automate reporting and visualizations of Growth metrics in Chartio.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to develop tooling.
- Provide operational support for Growth initiatives.
- Design, analyze, and interpret the results of Growth experiments.
- Create analyses that tell a “story” focused on insights, not just data.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ Years of experience in an analytics role (Business Intelligence, Product Analyst, Data Analyst and/or Data Science).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Expert knowledge of SQL.
- Prior experience with Business Intelligence tools (such as Chartio, Looker, Tableau).
- Ability to apply statistical concepts like A/B testing and Regression to help solve problems and answer questions.
- You have shown excellence in translating data into decision-ready insights.
- You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex concepts shouldn’t be a problem for you.
- You are scrappy. You approach questions with scientific rigor, but can execute pragmatically -- the simplest solution may be the best at times.
OUR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of a scientific computing language (such as R or Python).
- Prior experience with building and debugging data pipelines.
- Good understanding of data engineering and data modeling best practices.
- Prior experience in Growth at a leading technology company.
