Product Manager, Statuspage
Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.
Whether we’re creating a presentation at work or planning a night out with friends, we’re more dependent on software than ever. Unfortunately, even for the best cloud tools in the business, some downtime is inevitable; how well (or poorly) a company communicates during downtime can make or break its reputation. Statuspage is used by thousands of companies (GitHub, Twilio, and Intercom, to name a few) to build trust with every incident.
We’ve helped customers communicate millions of incidents so far, but we’re just getting started. As our newest Product Manager, you’ll shape the future of Statuspage as we enter the next phase of our growth.
You’ll join a tight-knit team of engineers and designers to build features customers will love and make Statuspage more deeply integrated with the rest of the Atlassian suite. You’ll work on a wide range of projects, from a top-requested feature one month to a platform integration project the next. We’re a little biased, but we think Statuspage is a dream team: you get the nimbleness of a small team mixed with the support and mentorship of the larger Atlassian Product Management organization.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Identify and prioritize the problems we should solve for our customers, rooted in genuine empathy and informed by data and research
- Collaborate with the team to turn customer problems into solutions, finding the smallest project imaginable that allows us to learn and iterate (and still meet our high quality bar)
- Rally the team around the work they’ll be doing through engaging presentations and masterful story-telling
- Deliver roadmap projects beginning to end with your counterparts in design and engineering, from initial spec to post-launch analysis, de-risking and roadblock-removing along the way
On your first day, we'll expect you have:
- 4+ years crafting and delivering stellar products in a Product Management role
- Proven track record of shipping features that deliver outcomes, with the lens of shipping the minimum needed to launch and learn. (Bonus points if you’ve worked on a mix of customer-facing features and back-end platform projects)
- Experience gathering qualitative and quantitative data: you know what research should go into a decision, and you know how to gather it
- Great relationships with cross-functional partners. From engineering to design to marketing, people love to work with you!
- Ability to communicate clearly and simply
- Self-awareness with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve
