Postmates runs one of the largest real-time delivery fleets in the country. Building a software platform that is reliable, scalable, and agile under demanding product needs is a serious technical challenge. Postmates isn’t just another ad platform or mobile app for delivering static user-generated content -- we have real customers paying real money for a real service, all in minutes. 

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for building and optimizing products for our customers, which include buyers, sellers, Postmates, developers and internal teams. We love learning, and we expect that you will learn new things--and teach new things to the people around you--as we build out the Postmates platform together.

You will:

• Drive product vision and direction for your product(s) and help shape the future of the industry as the company grows
• Collaborate with business leaders to make large-scale decisions that impact tens of thousands of Postmates, tens of thousands of partners, and the millions of customers they serve
• Drive new feature development from start to finish by working with a cross-functional team of engineering, design, operations, and marketing
• Establish, track, and measure success metrics after launch and consistently utilize behavior data in making key product decisions
• Synthesize feedback from internal stakeholders, app users, and market research to optimize the user experience 
• Deliver results by setting goals, priorities, and processes that align PMs and engineers across your team and the organization

You have:

• Three to six years of experience building and delivering highly successful products
• Technical know-how—you have a solid understanding of how software is made and how it works
• Leadership—you can motivate your teammates to create amazing products and processes. You’re great at making tough decisions in a sea of ambiguity and keeping everyone on track
• Superb communication—you have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You make complex ideas understandable and craft specs that are easy for multiple audiences to consume
• The ability to apply your skills and experience to company objectives so that you can resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
• Experience working on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• The ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Even better:

• A Master’s degree (or higher) in a technical or quantitative field
• A software engineering background
• Design experience
• Experience with analytical tools -- SQL, Python, etc
• Experience in on-demand, commerce, or restaurant industry
