This role sits within the Core Technical Foundations (CTF) organization, whose core competencies are Infrastructure, Security & IT. CTF has a Strategy & Operations team, which reports to the Director of CTF Strategy & Operations, which acts as a strategic partner with the mandate of enabling the broader CTF organization to focus on their core domains by handling the contextual, but necessary processes. We help define strategy, drive planning and execution for the CTF Department. The team is also responsible for coordinating with the rest of Cruise on strategic programs, operations and manages headcount planning, recruiting and budget for the department.
The Strategy & Operations department within Core Technical Foundations consists of the following functions:
Product Management - Technical (PMT)
Technical Program Management (TPM)
Strategy & Operations Partners
IT Asset Management Program Oversight
This role specifically will act as a Strategy & Operations partner in regular direct support of our Vice President of CTF, Tim Piastrelli in addition to other responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing :
Coordinate and manage leadership meetings (action items, agenda-setting, note-taking and organize document database) in addition to tracking organization specific initiatives
Assist your peers with producing the Monthly CTF Impact report
Bootstrap and orchestrate CTF-wide projects requiring collaboration across CTF teams and at times other departmental teams while sharing a common strategic vision.
Work with senior leadership on creation of new processes and documentation for CTF
Provide ad-hoc reports, queries and analysis on request in a very timely manner. Many of these requests may come from the VP of CTF directly.
Be willing to work outside of your comfort zone and outside of your area of expertise on a regular basis.
Provide project & program support to the Principal, Strategy & Operations lead as needed
You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Strategy & Operations type role supporting a technical leader and/or 6+ years of administrative support to a VP or above with experience in project management in support of that leader and their department.
Self-disciplined and thrives in fast paced environments
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail and a passion for correctness
Ability to handle high ambiguity, drive clarity and prioritize issues and opportunities
Ability to communicate thoughts in a clear/crisp manner to senior leaders
Bachelor’s degree
The salary range for this position is $113,700 - $167,200. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
