Funding rounds large and small are fueling innovations after a lucrative week on the West Coast. Check out what initiatives Bay Area companies are pursuing after last week’s growth moves. This is the Built In SF Weekly Refresh.

TRM got $70M. The blockchain intelligence company brought its total capital to $130 million following its Series B expansion. With the money, TRM plans to invest in product development and talent as it works to help organizations mitigate crypto-related fraud and financial crime. Kyte pulled in $60M. The company wants to change the way people get around with its on-demand car rental marketplace. As it works to build out fully electric, autonomous fleets in the future, Kyte will invest its Series B capital in tripling the size of its current vehicle fleet, expanding its market presence and hiring new talent across product and engineering. Its tech platform alerts users about what machines are available and when their load is done. It also features remote unlocking functionality to ensure clean clothes stay secure. Beekeeper secured $50M. Specializing in empowering frontline business success, Beekeeper provides a mobile-first workplace solution for deskless employees. The company’s Series C funding from investors like EGS Beteiligungen and Kreos Capital will help fuel product development initiatives. Serving industries like hospitality, retail and construction, the platform is active in more than 150 countries. [Business Wire]

Ontra acquired Captain. Ontra, an AI-enabled solution that works to modernize recurring legal workflows, acquired alternative funds platform Captain. The deal lets Ontra support bolster its legal operating system for private markets. Ontra strives to offer asset managers a streamlined and more efficient solution for private market transactions. In other VC funding news: A $15 million Series A went to EdgeDB, a database that aims to make streamline app development. The round was led by Nava Ventures and Accel.

Biometrics company Keyo is expanding its palm-scanning tech into new markets following a $7 million seed funding round.
